Well we had our first major hang up...

...and now that I've calmed down, and become rational I can write about it!

I have a friend in the English department who recently became engaged to friend of mine in the Art department (I didn't realize how many people I knew until this week by the way). She started planning her wedding and we chit chat about it from time to time. Well Tuesday night we met up at Texan Hall Theater on campus for our Film Crit class to watch a movie. While we were waiting she told me two things: She'd set a date, and found and booked a church. Ironically she picked June 6th and the church that Cody and I wanted. She felt terrible of course when she realized what she did and told me they might have to change dates anyway because the venue they want for their reception won't be available that day. She told me she'd call me if they ended up changing dates.

I called the wedding coordinator yesterday to make sure the date was booked. It's true, all of June is booked for that church and Cody doesn't want to get married in July. I asked the wedding coordinator to let me know if June 6th opens up. So today we're going church hunting (hopefully) and maybe, just maybe, we'll find another church. Keep your fingers crossed!
