Cody will have access to updating this blog, but knowing how busy he is I doubt he will have time to put in his quips. I, however, am currently not-so-busy so I'll try and keep this little guy updated for you all.
Quick update on all the details we have so far:
- We're doing a Texas theme
- We'd like to have wildflowers in the wedding but the chances of us having the wedding when they're in bloom are slim
- We've asked a friend of ours who is a minister to marry us - so sorry Family of the Bride no Catholic wedding (there is a story behind this, if you haven't heard it let me know and I'll put a blog up about it)
- For Cody's groom cake he'd like the THP patch or the Badge depending on if we can find someone who will make the cake
- We're looking at approx 150 people to send invitations to
- We'd like to rent the Officer's Quarters at Fort Concho for the rehearsal dinner
- And we'd like to rent the Commissary at Fort Concho for the Reception
- Mom is making my dress - we do have a pattern for it as well
- Bridesmaids are picking their own dresses from a designer with a dark red as the color - they have their marching orders already
- We do have invitations picked out and a rough estimate of how much they'll cost...that's actually the ONLY thing we're for sure on at the moment
- We were looking at May for the wedding for a little while, but because of certain things (like a fishing trip and my graduation) that idea seems to be shot in the foot, after more discussion we'll decide on another approximate date and let y'all know.
We have other ideas and such that we're talking over but we need to decide on them some more before we finalize them.
Oh, if my grammar is atrocious, please forgive me, I'll notice it after I've posted the blog.

We might have it at the Fort as well, we just have to figure out how LONG we get the facility if we rent it (the rental fees are kinda hefty). Yes Weddings have themes, a friend is getting married on Oct 31 and everyone attending has to dress in costume. Dark Red was the only color that everyone agreed on.
Thanks for the consideration, but if this is where you want to be married, then do it! Your mom and Cody's mom deserve the most consideration since they will be making most of the preparations. Lord willing, we will be there!
