So today Cody and I came to San Angelo, since my birthday is Friday I decided to stay in San Angelo and go out with my friends because Cody wouldn't be able to come since he's working and on call this weekend. The other reason is that I start classes Tuesday so I figured I'd take the weekend and catch up on whatever I hadn't taken care of (like buying huge anthologies that professors insist on making their students buy...I strongly dislike anthologies).
Anyway we're using these two days to get a few wedding things done. Today we didn't make it into town until this afternoon and this is what we got accomplished:
- Mom contacted the two cake places we're looking at and set up meeting times for next week. Since it's graduation week here in San Angelo they're understandably swamped. We'll take pictures of Cody's patch for reference and get a quote on how much they think the cakes will cost.
- Cody and I decided on a date (amazing I tell you amazing!)
- Cody and I started playing with the idea of silk flowers for decoration because we can't actually have wildflowers at the wedding (no one provides them and they wilt rather quickly).
- Cody got measured for his friends wedding he's a groomsman in this summer.
- Go take a look at the Methodist Church and perhaps set up a meeting with the wedding coordinator
- Gift Registry :)
- Oh and work on the wedding website (I've already signed up for one but figure Cody'd like to have some input)
